Laticrete - Vapor Ban Primer W - Moisture Vapor Barrier & Primer (5gal) is a high-performance, water-based, two-in-one solution that acts as both a moisture vapor barrier and a substrate primer, making it the ideal first step for your flooring installation system. Designed for use under self-leveling underlayments and moisture-sensitive flooring materials, this product helps protect your investment by reducing moisture transmission from the slab — up to 100% relative humidity (RH). Formulated with low viscosity and excellent substrate penetration, VAPOR BAN Primer W seals porous concrete surfaces and reduces the risk of flooring failures caused by excess moisture or poor adhesion. It's an essential product for installers and contractors working in areas with high RH readings or fast-track construction schedules.

Approximate Coverage

VAPOR BAN Primer W must be applied in with 2 coats:
• A base coat and then a secondary are required
• Each application will take 1 to 2 hours to cure depending on environmental conditions
• In order to help insure coverage, periodically check mil thickness using an NXT Wet Film Thickness Gauge
1st coat: (8 to 10 mil) 88-100 ft²
2nd coat: (8 to 10 mil) 88-100 ft²

Working Properties

Working Time: 25 minutes per coat
Time for Foot Traffic: 1 to 2 hours per coat
